Women's Ministries
The mission of the Women's Ministries of Mayesville Presbyterian Church is to:
- Share and study the Word of our Lord together
- Promote fellowship among all members of our group
- Reach out to church members and our community in Christian love and service
The scope of Women's Ministries is broad. It encompasses every aspect of the life of the congregation, while reaching beyond the walls of the church building to serve needs within the community, the county, and the world.
The Women of the Church care for our worship environment by providing such elements as flower arrangements, candles, and paraments. They are the force behind receptions that welcome visitors with warm hospitality, and congregational meals that celebrate and strengthen the ties that bind us. By staffing the nursery, they make it possible for parents and grandparents of small children to attend worship services. Through notes, cards, and care packages, they support our youth and college students. They are always at the ready to tend to needs that arise at times of illness, birth, and death.
Beyond our walls, they work on behalf of the ministries of Feed My Starving Children, Camp Joy, Outreach North America, Erskine College and Seminary, and the missionaries of World Mission.
The Women of the Church are committed to and sustained by prayer, study, and fellowship with one another. Through their ministry, they offer an example both within our church family and beyond of prayerful, servant living.
Women's Ministries circle meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August). Meeting times and locations vary. Please contact the church office for each month's schedule.
